Mini World Magic Bridlewood Forest

This is my first set in the new G5 Mini World Magic series, which seems to want to tap into the Polly Pocket market with mini figures and tiny playsets contained in compacts. This is Bridlewood Forest, from the Compact Creation series, based on Izzy’s home.
As advertised on the box, this is plastic-free packaging, so there is just a partial cardboard box over the case, and the accessories are all shaking around loose inside the case, which is fine. I am in favor of less packaging.

Taking the box off, you have the case, in the shape of Izzy’s cutie mark. There is a colorful handle, as well as a carabiner-type clip that is packed on the inside and needs to be attached.

Inside, the top panel features a house for Izzy with a balcony platform (windows showing stickers of Izzy’s dressing table and bed) and little door that opens. The bottom panel is green grass with a rock-lined stream running through. There is a slide between levels that you need to attach (and must be detached before closing case).
There are a few kinds of pegs and holes on the base. The larger round pegs are for the trees/platforms. Smaller pegs (on balcony and tree platforms) are for the rods the floral decorations hang on. Holes are for sticking in the crystal formations and flower bunches. The horseshoe pegs gently lock a mini pony’s position.
There are lots of little bits to plug into the scene to decorate it.

-5 crystal formations, all different shades of pastel pink/purple. These change color with cold water.
-5 crystal bases with 3 holes for the formations. All different colors which correspond to the grass mound colors.
-5 flower clusters; these also change color like the crystal formations.
-5 grass mounds, with 3 holes for the flowers, in the same colors as the crystal bases.
-3 tree trunks & 3 tree platforms that fit on top.
-5 multicolor fabric flower decorations.
-5 rods for the fabric flowers to hang from.
-Picnic basket
-Slice of pie on plate
-Book
-Bowl of popcorn
-Sheet of stickers

The two pony mini figures that come with the set are Izzy and Alphabittle.

Comments/review:
The inside is a little bit plain compared to a Polly Pocket. I’m left wanting a little variety in the scene, like maybe give up some of the grass to make room for the tea shop, since its proprietor, Alphabittle, is included.
The mix-and-match nature of the decorations is fun.
I like that everything fits in the case and closes for easy storage.
Tiny adorable ponies! Need I say more?
What you get is comparable in price to a Polly Pocket of the same price.
